Beloved.
Beloved, a new bar opening in Greenpoint on Thursday, wants to challenge any notion of cocktail snobbery. “This is just a bar bar,” says co-owner Vivek Sreekumar. “There’s no frilly stuff. It’s a place to just come get a drink.” Tucked away on Manhattan Avenue just up the street from Five Leaves, the 900-square-foot establishment (formerly Stones Tavern) will provide twelve craft beers, including $4 Narragansett Lager. The cocktail menu — designed by Heather Ash, head bartender from Allswell in Willamsburg and Rene Hidalgo, bartender from Lantern’s Keep — features six drinks, including the Storm Warning (Smith & Cross, Cynar, ginger, lime, club soda, Peychaud’s Bitters). Later this summer, Sreekumar and his co-owner Aaron Manheim will nearly double the size of the nightspot by opening their 800-square-foot backyard. Photos and menu straight ahead.

Bey got her dance on.
Hey, Kanye West and Kim Kardashian are dating, just in case you forgot. Anyway, the two found themselves out — after nearly a month (!) together — with Kim’s family this past week. We don’t need a relationship expert to tell us that things are going well. Some other celebs made their way into the New York nightlife this week, including Beyoncé, dancing the night away. All this, and more of our weekly roundup of celebrity dining, straight ahead.
Abe & Arthur’s: Probably the cutest couple on earth right now, Jason Segel and Michelle Williams, had a quiet dinner following the premiere of Williams’s Take This Waltz, where they couldn’t keep their hands off each other. [People]

Messing: Looking Smashing.
Will & Grace may have ended years ago, but a real-life version happened this week. Eric McCormick and Smash star Debra Messing dined at A Voce Columbus, which is definitely a place Will and Grace would’ve dined, right? Plus, Jason Segel and Michelle Williams — who are absolutely adorable and totally in love right now — apparently found themselves snuggling at the Five-Year Engagement after-party at MoMA. And Chelsea Clinton and husband Marc Mevinsky checked out recently Platt-reviewed Alison Eighteen. It’ll be hard to top these perfect dates, but we’ll try. See more of our weekly celebrity-dining roundup straight ahead.

Cafeteria: As Ice-T and Coco waited to be seated, she touched up her makeup. [Page Six/NYP]
Mariah Carey is a huge fan of Cafeteria, or at least it seems that way. The singer dined at the establishment twice within 24 hours. [People]
And last Saturday, Topher Grace, Sophia Bush, and Kimbra shared some breakfast there. [Grub Street]
The Lion: Apparently dressed in her best There’s Something About Mary getup, Cameron Diaz cheerily socialized with her friends. [Page Six/NYP
MoMA: Jason Segel and Michelle Williams were inseparable at the after-party of Five-Year Engagement, and Michelle even pulled Jason to the side behind a curtain in the middle of the party. [People]

Gerard Butler: man about town.
Look out everyone, Gerard Butler is out of rehab — and he still is having a great time. This isn’t quite as big of a deal as Kanye and Kim (Kimye!), but we’re excited nonetheless. The actor was spotted not once, but twice this past week. First, he just bought a plain ol’ cup of joe at Think Coffee. But second? Dude gave his own rendition of “Wonderwall” at the Darby. All that, and more celebrity sightings, straight ahead.
The Darby: A fresh-out-of-rehab Gerard Butler partied, and even sans booze, gave a raving rendition of the classic Oasis hit “Wonderwall.” [Gothamist]
Hudson Hall: Anthony Bourdain had a cup of coffee earlier this week. [Grub Street]
Lexington Brass: SNL alum (and Dr. Spaceman himself) Chris Parnell enjoyed soup and a lemon bar while writing. [Grub Street]

Trump International Hotel and Tower: Denzel Washington met up with Magic Johnson for a meeting that, we can only assume, measured coolness. [Page Six/NYP]

OMG!!
Well, there you have it, world: Kanye and Kim are a thing. Some may say their uncontrollable egos spell disaster down the road, but why be so pessimistic? Maybe they are the perfect match — after all, Kim is one of the special five people Kanye follows on Twitter. Anyway, the hot “couple” (can we call them that yet?) not only dined at Cafeteria last night, but had a follow-up date this morning. We know what that means … Other celebrities did some stuff with food this week too, like Cameron Diaz attending a private dinner at Salinas, but really, does anyone care? Kanye and Kim! Kayim? Kimye? KK? Details and more celebrity sightings, straight ahead.
Cabin Down Below: Scarlett Johansson kicked it with her boyfriend, Nate Naylor, in the East Village with indie band the Naked and Famous sitting at the next table. [People]

GoldBar: Mary J. Blige and Taraji P. Henson danced the night away. [Page Six/NYP]
Lansky’s Deli: Zach Woods — or as you probably know him, creepy Gabe from The Office — stopped by the Upper West Side for a bite. [Grub Street]
The Pierre: During a fund-raising auction for the Rainforest Fund, Sting jumped on his chair and “wiggled” his butt. The crowd enjoyed it, as one woman hooted, “Look at that booty!” [Page Six/NYP]

Serafina: Kanye and Kim followed their date from last night with lunch today on the Upper East Side. Two dates in less than 24 hours. [TMZ]
Top of the Standard: Many folks made it out to the premiere of HBO’s new show Girls the other night, including Kevin Bacon, Claire Danes, and more, partying “well past midnight.” [People]

Broderick hit the half-century mark.
Did you hear? Tim Tebow got traded to the Jets, so prepare yourself as Tebowmania sets in on New York City. Soon, our weekly roundups will strictly feature reports of Tebow living his Tebow life, like getting coffee, eating steaks, buying drinks, praying before dinner, that sort of thing. Until then though, we’ve still got the good ol’ fashioned stories of regular celebrities, like Jeremy Lin showing up at Morimoto, Katie Holmes stopping by a cake decorator, and Dan Aykroyd buying some vodka. All this, and more celebrity sightings, straight ahead.
Fresco by Scotto: Dan Aykroyd was spotted asking the servers how his Crystal Head vodka was selling to patrons, and ended up buying a round for his table. [Page Six/NYP]
Make Meaning: Earlier this week, Katie Holmes and Suri Cruise paid the Upper East Side location a surprise visit that ended up being full of decorating cakes and other crafts. [Grub Street]
Morimoto: Over sushi with executives earlier this week, Jeremy Lin signed with Volvo to become their new spokesperson — and he did it while wearing gym shorts. [Page Six/NYP]
The River Cafe: Sarah Jessica Parker threw Matthew Broderick a surprise 50th birthday party this past weekend. Guests included many actors and Broadway insiders, but the best part of the night was when Broderick’s son, James Wilkie, sang the Beatles’ classic, “Here Comes The Sun.” [Page Six/NYP]
Southern Hospitality: Chace Crawford, Erin Andrews, and Jerry O’Connell all celebrated St. Paddy’s Day together by stuffing themselves with BBQ. Across the room, New York sports heroes Darryl Strawberry and Mario Manningham also enjoyed a meal. [Page Six/NYP]

JT attended The Road to Mecca.
It’s almost Oscars night, so of course a bunch of celebrities stepped out in New York before hopping on a cross-country flight to L.A. Among those spotted were Justin Timberlake and his fiancée Jessica Biel enjoying a night of Broadway, Lou Reed and his family dining in Greenwich Village, and New York Knick (no, not that Knick) Jared Jeffries singing a little karaoke. All this and more celebrity sightings, straight ahead.
Cornerstone Tavern: Jared Jeffries can sing, but he has terrible taste in music. The Knick took to the karaoke stage in midtown this past Tuesday, and reportedly gave a riveting rendition of Garth Brooks’s “Friends in Low Places.” C’mon, man. C’mon. [Page Six/NYP]
Da Silvano: Lou Reed and Laurie Anderson enjoyed a dinner in Greenwich Village this past weekend, and just so happened to sit next to Anjelica Huston, who was dining with a “mystery man.” [Page Six/NYP]
Gravy: Texan (and sitcom star) Jim Parsons enjoyed some fine eats in the Flatiron District where he probably said “Bazinga!” [Page Six/NYP]
MoMA: Martha Stewart showed up for an exclusive preview of controversial artist Cindy Sherman’s retrospective at the MoMA. [Page Six/NYP]
Roundabout Theatre: Following JT’s fabulous guest stint on SNL last weekend, Justin Timberlake and fiancée Jessica Biel, enjoyed a night out on Broadway, catching Biel’s friend Carla Gugino in The Road to Mecca. [Page Six/NYP]
Sons of Essex: A bunch of important people, including Knicks Jared Jeffrieds and Mike Bibby, Rangers Brandon Prust and Brian Boyle, talent manager Scooter Braun, One Model Management’s Scott Lipps, and models Jessica White and Lisalla Montenegro all celebrated Sons of Essex co-owner Matt Levine’s 30th birthday. Drake: free drinks rule.
With 2012 already off to a fantastic start — mainly thanks to a beautiful baby named Blue Ivy — this week continued the end of year’s celebratory feel as we all continue to write 2011 rather than 2012. Vince Young bought drinks for Drake and J. Cole at La Pomme, Katie Couric splashed back into the dating world at Lure Fishbar, and Kelly Clarkson laughed with Miranda Lambert over spicy tuna at Koi. All this, and more celebrity sightings, straight ahead.
Asellina: Jonathan Cheban enjoyed buffalo mozzarella, a mushroom pizza appetizer, and the veal Milanese on Tuesday evening. [Grub Street]
Cafeteria: Ethan Hawke dined with his book and no one else on Wednesday, nibbling on a spinach and goat cheese omelet in Chelsea — and he tipped $8 on a $13 tab. What a guy! [Page Six/NYP]
Koi: Kelly Clarkson and Miranda Lambert each brought some friends to dinner. The group got together and laughed as they enjoyed crispy rice and spicy tuna, which is exactly what you would imagine Kelly Clarkson, Miranda Lambert, and friends would do. [People]
La Pomme: Vince Young bought a round of drinks for Drake and J. Cole — Hennessy and Cokes, of course. [Page Six/NYP]
Lure Fishbar: Freshly single Katie Couric shook first-date nerves and joined a “mystery man” for dinner on Tuesday, her first date since splitting with her boyfriend of five years only a month ago. Coincidentally, the two sat next to Couric’s colleague Dan Abrams, who did the only logical thing you do when you sit next to a co-worker on a date: throw edamame at them.[Page Six/NYP]
Michael’s: George Lucas had lunch with Francis Ford Coppola on Tuesday, and a few tables over sat Captain Chesley “Sully” Sullenberger. Imagine that conversation. [Page Six/NYP]
Recette: Ivanka Trump and husband Jared Kushner celebrated Kushner’s birthday at a reclusive, cozy table in the West Village on Tuesday, munching on hamachi with uni, fluke with shellfish congee, and, of course, some s’mores. [Page Six/NYP]
