West Village: Lupa will host a five-course farm-to-table lunch March 25 and April 1. Tickets ($105) include entry to a screening of modern-food-production documentary Fresh. Flatiron District: Rosa Mexicano’s eighth annual Mexican Passover week commences March 25. Themed dishes like banana-leaf-wrapped beef brisket will be on the menu at all locations through April 5, and chefs Joe Quintana and David Suarez will instruct on how to prepare select items at a free demo at the 18th Street offshoot on March 27. Meatpacking District: On March 27, Shop W Style will invade the neighborhood to celebrate the magazine’s inaugural shopping issue. Lower East Side: Long Island City’s Pain D’Avignon, famed Eleven Madison Park and Momofuku Ssäm Bar vendor, has come to the Essex Street Market. The wholesale bakery’s first retail site will offer fresh breads like cranberry-pecan rolls and rye with caraway seed Monday through Saturday, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. [Grub Street]
Joel Barkley and Ron Castellano will host An Evening of Tango at Broadway East at 8 p.m. On the bill are live tango musicians and dancers, plus lessons with Strictly Traditional Argentine Tango’s Sergio Segura.
